Symptoms of sleep paralysis:
A feeling of being held down

You wake in the middle of the night and you cant move or talk. Next you see your bedroom door open and a figure walks through. It may be a shadow or creature of some sort. Most times the shadow/creature will get on top of you and choke you, until finally you wake up and everything disappears.
What is sleep paralysis? Sleep paralysis is dreaming with your eyes open. During REM (rapid eye movement) stage of sleep, your brain paralyzes you so you don’t act out your dreams. Then you wake up while your really still dreaming, the dream world spills over into the real world. The scariest part of sleep Paralysis, you can actually feel being touched and choked by a shadow/creature, though it is not real … it feels very real.
